Chocolate Cake with Mayonnaise

While traditional chocolate c recipes typically include ingredients like flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and eggs, there’s a surprisingly unconventional twist that has been gaining popularity in recent years – mayonnaise. Yes, you read it right! Mayonnaise in chocolate cake might sound unusual, but it adds a rich, moist, and delectable quality that will leave you questioning why you haven’t tried it sooner.

Recipe for Mayonnaise Chocolate Cake:

Serving Size: 24
Preparation & Cooking Time: 45 minutes

Ingredients:
Butter for greasing
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ cups white sugar
⅓ cup of cocoa powder (unsweetened)
1 ½ cups water
1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
2 ¼ teaspoons baking powder
1 ½ cups mayonnaise
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
Chocolate frosting

Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Grease your baking pan with butter.
Whisk together the all-purpose flour, white sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda in a bowl.
Add the mayonnaise and stir.
Pour in the vanilla extract and water.
Mix until smooth.
Pour the cake batter into the baking pan.
Bake in the oven at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.
Spread the chocolate frosting on top of the cake.
