Chocolate Cake with Buttercream Frosting

Chocolate Cake with Buttercream Frosting – Here’s a quick and easy chocolate cake recipe but made extra special with buttercream frosting. It’s the perfect
centerpiece for any family gathering.

Preparation & Cooking Time: 45 minutes

Chocolate Cake with Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients:
Cooking spray
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
¾ cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon espresso powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, beaten
½ cup vegetable oil
1 cup milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup hot water
Frosting
1 ½ cups butter
½ cup milk
5 cups confectioner’s sugar
1 cup cocoa
½ teaspoon espresso powder
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
Spray your cake pans with oil.
In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, cocoa powder, espresso powder and
salt.
Stir in the eggs, vegetable oil, milk and vanilla extract.
Pour in the hot water.
Mix well.
Transfer the cake batter into the cake pans.
Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
Let cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes.
Add the frosting ingredients to a bowl.
Using an electric mixer, beat the mixture until light and fluffy.
Apply the frosting on the cake and serve.
