Moist Chocolate Cake – While there are those who love their cakes light and fluffy, there are also those who prefer rich, moist and fudgy
cake. If you’re the latter, then you’re in for a treat. Here’s a superb moist chocolate cake that you’ll definitely fall in
love with.
Serving Size: 12
Preparation & Cooking Time: 1 hour and 10 minutes

Moist Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup canola oil
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups sugar
1 cup milk
1 cup brewed coffee
2 eggs
Frosting
5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup milk
½ cup butter, softened
½ cup shortening
Cocoa powder
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F.
Combine the baking soda, baking powder, all-purpose flour, cocoa powder and salt in a bowl.
In another bowl, mix the canola oil, sugar, milk, brewed coffee, eggs and vanilla extract.
Add this to the flour mixture.
Using an electric mixer, mix the batter on medium setting for 3 minutes.
Pour the cake batter into a baking pan.
Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
Let cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes.
Add the all-purpose flour and milk to a pan over medium heat.
Cook until thickened.
Let cool.
Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
Add the butter, sugar, vanilla extract and shortening to the cooled milk mixture.
Beat for 10 minutes or until light and fluffy.
Apply the frosting on the cake and dust with the cocoa powder
