4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons lemon juice
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken breasts by seasoning them with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté the garlic for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
  5. Add the green beans to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are crisp-tender.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet and pour the lemon juice over the chicken and green beans.
  7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  8. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

This recipe can be easily customized by adding lemon zest for extra flavor or red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
Frozen green beans can be used as a substitute for fresh ones, just make sure to thaw them before cooking.
