Chocolate & Apple Cake
Ingredients:
3 eggs
1 cup butter, softened
2 cups white sugar
½ cup water
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoons cocoa powder (unsweetened)
1 teaspoon ground allspice
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 cups green apples, peeled and shredded
½ cup chocolate chips
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Beat together the eggs, butter, white sugar and water in a bowl.
Stir in the all-purpose flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, ground allspices and ground cinnamon. Mix well.
Fold in the shredded apples and chocolate chips.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
Transfer the cake batter into a cake pan.
Bake in the oven at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
