Bang Bang Shrimp Pasta

To start off, you’ll need some simple ingredients:

– ¾ – 1 lb thin spaghetti or angel hair pasta (you can also use gluten-free pasta if desired)
– 1 ½ lbs medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
– 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
– 3 cloves of garlic, minced
– 3 teaspoons of paprika
– 1 tablespoon of dried parsley
– Freshly ground black pepper to taste

For the sauce, you’ll need:
– ½ cup of mayonnaise or light mayonnaise
– ½ cup of Thai sweet chili sauce
– 2 cloves of garlic, minced
– 2 tablespoons of lime juice
– ⅛ teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes

To prepare the dish, start by mixing the sauce ingredients together in a bowl and set it aside. In a large pot of boiling water, cook the pasta according to the package instructions and then drain well.

While the pasta is cooking, place the uncooked shrimp in a medium-sized bowl and add the paprika, minced garlic, and black pepper. Heat the coconut oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the coated uncooked shrimp. Cook the shrimp, stirring constantly, until they turn pink, which should take about 6-8 minutes depending on the size of the shrimp. Once cooked, remove the shrimp from the heat and set them aside if the pasta is not ready yet.

In a large serving bowl, combine the cooked pasta, shrimp, and the prepared sauce mixture, and toss everything together until well coated. Garnish with some freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately.

This Bang Bang Shrimp Pasta is not only quick and easy to make, but it’s also incredibly flavorful. The creamy and slightly spicy sauce pairs perfectly with the tender shrimp and pasta, making it a dish that’s sure to impress. With a perfect balance of savory and sweet flavors, this meal is great for a family dinner or for entertaining guests.

Nutritionally, this dish packs a good amount of protein from the shrimp and some healthy carbohydrates from the pasta. The sauce adds a touch of sweetness and spice, making it a well-rounded and satisfying meal.
