  • 3/4 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk (as needed for consistency)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, melted butter, sugar, salt, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the egg and gradually mix in the flour until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  3. Place in a greased bowl to rise for about 45 minutes until doubled.
  4. Prepare the filling by mixing softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, strawberries, and jam.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the filling evenly on top.
  6. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture, roll up tightly and slice into 12 pieces.
  7. Place on a baking sheet to rise for another 30 minutes before baking at 350°F (175°C) for about 25 minutes.
  8. Prepare the glaze by mixing softened cream cheese with butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth; drizzle over cooled rolls.
