One-Bowl Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:
Cooking spray
¾ cup whole-wheat pastry flour
⅓ cup cocoa powder
½ cup white sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ cup brown sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons canola oil
1 egg, beaten
½ cup black coffee
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Confectioners’ sugar
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
Spray your cake pan with oil.
Whisk the baking soda, cocoa powder, whole-wheat pastry flour, baking powder, white sugar and salt together in a
bowl.
Stir in the rest of the ingredients except the confectioners’ sugar.
Using an electric mixer, beat on medium speed for 1 to 2 minutes.
Pour the cake batter into a baking pan.
Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
Let cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes.
Sprinkle with the confectioner’s sugar and serve.
