Description

Million Dollar Ravioli Casserole is a rich, creamy, and indulgent baked dish that’s perfect for cozy family dinners. With layers of cheesy ravioli, hearty meat sauce, and a luscious blend of cottage cheese, ricotta, and sour cream, this comfort food classic comes together with simple ingredients and delivers big flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Stir in marinara sauce, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
In a medium bowl, combine cottage cheese, ricotta, sour cream, and 1 cup of shredded mozzarella. Mix well.
Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom.
Layer half of the frozen ravioli over the sauce.
Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the ravioli layer.
Top with the remaining ravioli in a single layer.
Pour the remaining meat sauce on top and spread evenly.
Sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella and the grated Parmesan.
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake uncovered for another 10–15 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

You can substitute the ground beef with sautéed mushrooms or spinach for a vegetarian option.

This casserole can be prepared ahead of time and baked when ready to serve.

For extra flavor, use fresh herbs or spicy marinara sauce.
