Ingredients

Scale

8 oz dried pasta of choice

1 Tablespoon olive oil

½ cup onion, finely chopped

34 cloves garlic, minced

1 Tablespoon butter

1 pound chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

½ teaspoon EACH Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, salt, and pepper

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated

½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped

Basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta:
Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Sauté Aromatics:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 2–3 minutes.
  • Cook the Chicken:
Add butter to the skillet, then add the chicken pieces. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes.
  • Make the Cream Sauce:
Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese. Let the mixture simmer gently for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Combine Everything:
Add the chopped sun-dried tomatoes to the sauce. Toss in the cooked pasta and mix well until evenly coated in the creamy sauce.
  • Garnish and Serve:
Transfer to serving plates or a platter. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
  • Adjust seasoning and spice levels to taste. Add extra Parmesan for a richer sauce.
