Description
Strangely enough, this dish combines two forms of cuisine. One is Chinese and the other is Italian. It makes a wild and delicious combination of flavors that is not only unique, the dish is loved by many.
Ingredients
- 1 pound Ground Italian Sausage
- 16 ounces Egg Noodles, cooked al dente
- 2 medium Green Peppers, cleaned and diced
- 28 ounces Diced Tomatoes (with juice)
- 3 tsp Garlic, freshly minced
- 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 1 tsp Basil, dried
- ½ cup White Cooking Wine
- Parmesan Cheese, grated
- Parsley, fresh chopped
- Salt and pepper, if desired
Instructions
1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, add the sausage and diced green peppers. Cook thoroughly.
2. Lower heat to medium-low and add Italian seasoning and minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds.
3. Add white cooking wine and simmer until reduced by half.
4. Pour in diced tomatoes with juice.
5. Add dried basil, salt, and pepper.
6. Gently stir in cooked egg noodles and combine.
7. Continue heating until the dish is heated through.
8. Top with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
A green salad balances out the richness of the pasta.
Steamed or roasted vegetables like broccoli also pair well.
