Experience the savory delight of Garlic Butter Steak Bites paired with crispy Smashed Potatoes, a simple yet scrumptious meal featuring strip steaks, baby potatoes, and a rich garnish of cheddar cheese and green onions.

Ingredients

Scale

2 Strip Steaks

Montreal Steak Seasoning to taste

24 oz of baby potatoes

Olive oil as needed

Salt to taste

Black pepper to taste

Garlic powder to taste

2 tablespoons of butter

1 tablespoon of minced garlic

Shredded cheddar cheese for garnish

3 green onions, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

1. Begin by boiling water in a pot. Add baby potatoes and cook until fork-tender.

2. Preheat a griddle over medium heat. Transfer boiled potatoes to the griddle and smash flat with a spatula.

3. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook, flipping occasionally, until crispy on both sides.

4. While potatoes cook, cut strip steaks into bite-sized cubes and place them on another area of the griddle.

5. Season steak cubes with Montreal Steak Seasoning and cook, turning occasionally, to desired doneness.

6. Reduce heat and add butter and minced garlic to the steak. Stir to coat evenly.

7. Once potatoes are crispy, sprinkle cheddar cheese over them and allow to melt.

8. Garnish both steak and potatoes with chopped green onions. Serve immediately.

Notes

You can substitute ribeye or sirloin for strip steak.

Use a cast iron skillet if no griddle is available.
