  • 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
  • 2 ¾ cups chicken broth
  • ¾ cup half and half
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • ½ chicken bouillon cube
  • ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • ½ lb Shellbow pasta
  • ¾ teaspoon dried basil
  • ¾ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¾ teaspoon dried parsley
  • ¾ teaspoon mustard powder
  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare all ingredients by measuring and combining the seasonings.
  2. In a large soup pot over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons of butter. Add minced garlic and seasoning mix; stir until fragrant.
  3. Pour in chicken broth, half and half, soy sauce, and crumble in the bouillon cube.
  4. Bring mixture to a boil. Add the Shellbow pasta and cook per package instructions while stirring occasionally.
  5. Once pasta is al dente, reduce heat to low. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted, then add lemon juice.
  6. Finish with the remaining tablespoon of butter; let it melt before serving.
