  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans, toasted
  • For the glaze: 1/4 cup unsalted butter, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 2 tbsp milk or cream, and 3/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and toast pecans for about 5–7 minutes until fragrant.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add in the egg and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture; stir until just combined.
  6. Fold in cooled toasted pecans evenly into the dough.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for about 10–12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
  9. Cool on a wire rack before glazing.
  10. For the glaze, melt butter and brown sugar over low heat; stir in milk and powdered sugar until smooth. Drizzle over cooled cookies.
