A hearty and cheesy Crockpot Pierogi Casserole made with tender beef sausage, cheddar pierogies, and a creamy sauce. This easy slow cooker meal is full of comfort and flavor.

  • 3 packages of Mrs. T’s Cheddar Pierogies
  • 4 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 (8-ounce) block of cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 pound of beef sausage (sliced)

 

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Combine Ingredients in the Crockpot: In a 4-6 quart slow cooker, add 3 cups of chicken broth, frozen pierogies, sliced beef sausage, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Ensure everything is evenly distributed.
  • Cooking the Casserole: Set the crockpot to cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6 hours, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  • Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture: About 30 minutes before the cooking time ends, warm the cream cheese block with the remaining 1 cup of chicken broth (in a microwave or on the stovetop) and whisk until smooth.
  • Final Assembly: Pour the smooth cream cheese mixture into the crockpot, stirring well to combine. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese on top, cover, and cook on low for an additional 30 minutes until the cheese melts.

 

  • Serving: Serve hot, optionally garnished with sliced green onions for a fresh, flavorful touch.

  • For a smoky flavor, use smoked beef sausage.
  • Add cooked and crumbled bacon for extra richness.
