  • 3/4 cup Milk (warmed to 110℉)
  • 2 1/4 tsp Active dry yeast
  • 1 Large egg (beaten)
  • 2/3 cup Mashed bananas
  • 5 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 TBSP Ground cinnamon
  • 4 oz Cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 4 TBSP Unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Warm milk to about 110℉ and mix with active dry yeast; let froth for 5 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, combine flour, salt, and sugar; add to wet mixture until dough forms.
  3. Knead dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let rise in a greased bowl covered with a towel for about an hour until doubled.
  5. Prepare filling by mixing brown sugar and cinnamon; set aside sliced bananas.
  6. Roll out dough into a rectangle, spread butter, sprinkle cinnamon mixture, and layer sliced bananas.
  7. Roll tightly from one end, slice into one-inch sections, and arrange on a baking sheet.
  8. Let rolls rise again for about 30 minutes; preheat oven to 350℉.
  9. Bake for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Mix cream cheese and butter for icing; drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
