Ingredients
- 20 oz (1 ¼ lbs) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp dried basil
- ½ tsp sweet paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- Freshly ground pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp parsley, freshly chopped
Instructions
Prepare the Chicken:
Pat chicken breasts dry with a paper towel and cut into 1-inch pieces.
Season the Chicken:
In a bowl, sprinkle flour, basil, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper over the chicken. Toss to coat evenly.
Heat the Skillet:
Heat a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and 1 tbsp butter. Once hot, add chicken in a single layer.
Cook the Chicken:
Cook undisturbed for about 3 minutes. Flip and cook for another 2 minutes.
Add Flavor:
Add the remaining butter, minced garlic, and parsley. Cook for 1 more minute until chicken is fully cooked.
Serve:
Serve hot, alone, or with sides like rice, pasta, or a fresh salad.
Notes
Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the chicken before serving for brightness.
For a spicy kick, sprinkle red pepper flakes on top before serving.
Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
